Class Composition by Ability
Level check test at school entry to decide your class.
Students’ language level will be improved by the level check test every 3 months!! Learning in accordance with each student’s ability efficiently makes their Japanese proficiency gets better!
Classes are run under a homeroom system to give meticulous instructions. In addition, they can feel free to consult their homeroom teachers not only Japanese but also anything, no matter how trifle it is. It is possible to start from the higher level class and go on to university earlier if you learned Japanese hard in your home country and have attained high Japanese proficiency.

Lessons
In Japanese Course of Iwatani College, various events are incorporated into our lessons to learn Japanese. Students work on surveys, presentations, communicating with Japanese, making posters and so on, and using Japanese they have learned.

Besides, various practical lessons are incorporated into our lessons. Games (a interclass time race of reading kanji and a game using primary sentence patterns)
Shadowing / Discussion / Debate / Reading Newspaper Articles
Songs such as ‘Toire no kami-sama’, ‘Hitomi wo tojite’, ‘Sakura’ and so on
Lessons using a movie ‘Sekai no chushin de ai wo sakebu’ (Socrates in Love) / a textbook ‘Manga de manabu nihongo’ (Living Japanese through Comics)
Exchange Lessons with Iwatani High School and Futaba High School
Presentation and making posters (Presentation of research about news, commodity prices etc. and school / street interviews)
Speech (One-minute speech, Three-minute speech, Class Speech Competition) Presentation
Culture Experience (Seasonal traditions:Star Festival, Bean-Throwing Festival, New Year etc.)
Lesson Times
Japanese Course introduces a double system with morning classes and afternoon classes. Your class will be decided by the class composition after entering the school. Both morning and afternoon classes have 4 lessons a day. (1 lesson is 45 minutes.)
Morning Class: 9:00 ~ 12:30
Afternoon Class: 13:00 ~ 16:30

★ Please note that our school conducts the composition of morning / afternoon classes.
★ Subjects to prepare for educational advancement are also available if you want. For more details, see the 「‘Educational Advancement / Career’」.
20 hours per week and 800 hours per year.
There are lessons from Monday to Friday every week, and our school is closed on Saturday / Sunday and holidays.
Besides, we have summer vacation / autumn vacation / winter vacation / spring vacation. Please note that our annual schedule may be changed. If there is any change in our event schedule, we will let you know.
